2003 – 2004
Making a difference from the start: IriTec and COMEX Integración
In 2003, COMEX Integración was established, a company specialized in outsourcing and technology services. From the beginning, it stood out as a technological partner for significant companies and administrations in the Aragon region.
In 2004, IriTec was founded, a company that quickly stood out for its innovative approach and rapid growth. Over the years, IriTec received multiple awards and recognitions for its work in the technology sector, including approvals and distinctions such as the CEEI Aragón Company or the IT Mart and SoftAragón Premium badges.
2007 - 2010
Commitment to specialization with the launch of subsidiaries and proprietary solutions
IriTec begins to create specialized areas with the launch of its first two subsidiaries: IriTec Sistemas, later becoming the systems area of Hiberus, and Ovooe, an advanced IP telephony platform.
IriTec's technological knowledge applied to market needs culminates in the launch of three proprietary solutions: Atenea, Gisir, and Tributalia. In addition, as part of this specialization strategy, IriTec invests in creating an area focused on the development of digital businesses, which becomes key to the company's evolution.
2011
IriTec, Comex Integración, Grupo Henneo, and Grupo La Información create Hiberus
In November 2011, IriTec and Comex Integración agreed to merge with the goal of creating the reference technology consulting firm with the participation of key partners such as Grupo Henneo or Grupo La Información. A new stage begins: Hiberus is born.
2013 – 2015
New initiatives, growth, and expansion
In the following years, Hiberus and all the areas encompassing the company continue to grow and expand.
Several leading companies in their respective sectors are acquired, strengthening the service portfolio and the company's position in the market. Additionally, the technological solution TravelIO is transferred to Amadeus due to its potential success, entering as a partner with the creation of Hiberus Travel.
New offices are opened in Spain and in Mexico and Colombia, and the service offering diversifies to include new areas such as digital marketing, multichannel, big data, and cybersecurity.
The company reaches 500 employees, creating the Talent area with the goal of finding the best people to join the company and take care of their skills and competencies development.
In the same year, in response to the company's innovative spirit, the Hiberus Emprende area is created, and La Terminal space is founded with the aim of being close to the entrepreneurial environment. Additionally, the company invests in creating its own digital businesses such as Zaquia, Franchise Resources, and Up and Scrap.
2017 – 2019
Opening of new offices in Spain and new subsidiaries in Europe and Latin America
Hiberus continues its expansion, opening new offices in various cities in Spain, and establishes subsidiaries in London (United Kingdom) and Berlin (Germany) to boost its business development in Europe.
Furthermore, Hiberus and Xalok join forces to create the leading platform for media in Spain and Latin America. The result of this union is the creation of Hiberus Media Labs, with clients in more than 10 countries and offices in Zaragoza, Madrid, Miami, and Buenos Aires.
Partnerships are formed with 451.legal to offer specialized legal advisory services in technology and with Bioingenia to launch traceability programs in the agri-food sector.
As a notable initiative, Hiberus University is launched, offering training in digital competencies to provide people with a professional future in the ICT sector and develop their careers at Hiberus.
2020 – 2021
Launch of initiatives in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and proprietary training plans
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Hiberus launches the IMPULSA initiative to help companies transition to e-commerce. The #ZGZAYUDA platform is also created, replicated in various locations, to gather solidarity initiatives in the fight against the coronavirus.
Hiberus continues its international expansion with the opening of a new office in Milan, Italy, and re-acquires Hiberus Travel.
Hiberus University launches its flagship program: the Heroes and Heroines Training Program to train profiles in technologies in demand in the sector. In just one week after its launch, over 2000 applications are received to access this training program.
2022
Celebrating 10 years of trajectory with the 1500th employee and launching Hiberus Summer Fest
After incredible growth in recent years, Hiberus celebrates its 1500th hire with a surprise event.
To celebrate its 10 years of trajectory, the Hiberus Summer Fest is organized, a major corporate event that brings together all the people working at Hiberus. Additionally, the 'Looking for future' initiative is launched to hire technological professionals affected by the war in Ukraine in collaboration with the Zaragoza City Council.
The company is also responsible for organizing DrupalCamp 2022 and receives recognitions for its business excellence as the Liferay Partner of the Year.
Hiberus closes 2022 with a 48% increase in revenue compared to 2021, reaching a revenue figure of 92 million euros and surpassing 2,100 employees.
2023
A commitment to value contribution and growth by making others grow
In 2023, we continue our journey to become the leading Spanish tech company in new projects and new technologies.
As in every year, we design our annual plan called the Alcaraz Plan, an action plan to ensure and evolve the company's culture, expand the business and development hubs internationally, evolve technologically, and grow in terms of value contribution, meeting our ambitious goals in all markets, areas, and territories.
We continue to make the people who are part of Hiberus and our clients grow because Hiberus is a company with a soul, and we put our soul into everything we do.
